School Uniform

The following uniform is required which can only be purchased from the school shop. Blazers have to be pre-ordered as soon as possible, as they are not held in stock at the moment.

Compulsory uniform

Failsworth Blazer - compulsory for All Years  Maroon Failsworth Sweatshirt  House Tie  Plain White Shirt  Plain smart Black tailored trousers or plain black knee- length skirt (Skirts must be Knee Length)   Shoes should be plain black flat leather / leather type shoes, with a business type look, no logos or coloured markings or leisure / urban type shoes. (The underlined sections are additions to the previous descriptions).   Plain White or Black socks or plain tights

• Black Failsworth Fleece (strongly recommended)
• Black Failsworth Rain Jacket
• Black Failsworth Rain Pants
• Dance T-Shirt (required if student takes dance)

Standards and expectations

• Jewellery - One watch/stud per ear
• Earrings must be 5mm or less in diameter, and only in gold, silver, black or diamante
  No other visible piercings allowed
• Non-uniform sweaters or sweatshirts cannot be worn in school
• A strong bag is considered essential equipment along with *personal organiser, pen, pencil, ruler, rubber and calculator.
• No caps/hooded sweatshirts at all anywhere in school
• Coats - not be worn in school
• Sunglasses should not be worn in school
• Hair should be natural colours. Extreme hairstyles are not permitted (e.g. tramlines / shaved patterns or bright colours)
• Hair wear - only plain black headbands and bobbles
• Mobile phones are not permitted in Failsworth School
• MP3/Ipod's should not be brought into school and will be confiscated if seen (this includes headphones). These items if brought in are at the students own risk.
• Aerosols of any kind are not permitted in school.
• Make-up must be natural in look.

*The cost of a replacement Personal Organiser is £3

P.E Note: We ask all students with notes excusing them from P.E to bring their kit in as normal - we will find an alternative suitable activity for them i.e. officiating role, table tennis or leading a small session.
