Culture Language and Communication
Our Faculty Mission:
As a Culture, Language and Communications Faculty we want students at
Failsworth to be positive in taking responsibility for their own future. We hope to inspire resilience,
determination and organisation through our teaching so that students can see their long term dreams and goals
whilst being determined to use skills from English and MFL in helping themselves towards success. Through our
curriculum we hope to create competitive learners who perform at their best, towards and beyond targets by helping
them to believe in themselves and encouraging them to use the knowledge from all staff and peers. Ultimately in
‘Going for Gold’ we want everyone at
Failsworth to use success as a springboard towards greater achievements.
When teaching in the Culture, Language and Communications Faculty we are passionate about raising aspirations
through empowering students with speaking, listening and language skills. We hope to develop confident
communicators who can understand their vital role in society and their own community. Through our teaching we
support and explore cultural diversity and we also hope to help students to see beyond Failsworth to the wider
world and for them to be able to achieve anywhere. In ‘Preparing Tomorrows’
Citizens Today’ our Faculty promotes respect, empathy, working with others and
helping ourselves to be prepared for and successful in, our future.
